Best athlete by number

I heard this on sports radio once and it was pretty fun. Basically, we name the best player for each jersey number, all sports included. I guess we can have runners up/honorable mentions, if this gets heated. I'm going to add everyone and we can rank them/narrow it down later.

Bruno, I think Willie Mays has to have the top spot for #24, but I'll put Kobe there too. Georgi, I'll do the same with Berbatov, but Gordie Howe (NHL) beats him out for me.

i would give Magic 32. but 33 between Kareem and Bird is impossible.

I don't think you can pick a clear winner of Bird and Kareem (I'd take Kareem, but still). Magic would be the clear winner for #32 if this was just basketball. But Jim Brown was #32 too (another tie?)

Screw it. I'm adding everybody. We'll sort this out later.
