But the honest truth was he didn't play all that well last year and more importantly the team was always going to be in his shadow because of the 1999 cup and what he was to the franchise. They honestly thought he was retiring and then he surprised them by wanting back in. For those reasons I think it was the right time to let him go and I think he should have known it was time to retire. It really wouldn't bother me except he went to Detroit.
