Insightful comment.

Kind of have to agree though. This is the worst time of the year to watch sportscenter because they devote a full level of analysis to preseason games befitting regular season games and crowd out more interesting stuff.

Tough to win when you don't make it out of the first round.

Oh, I agree. Treating preseason games like the playoffs is an extremely desperate grasp at ratings, but catching a few minutes of the 1st stringers at the beginning of a preseason game is a good quick fix for football jonesing.

The only time I can watch an entire preseason game is if it's the Lions, but even then, by the 4th quarter, it gets pretty tedious. By then, the stadium is 10% full, and the announcers are killing time with the most retarded banter imaginable, and the only ones on the field are 5th stingers with barely any hope of even making the practice squad. At best, I get to catch a glimpse of local/regional college players getting their 2 minutes of fame before being cut from the team the following week.

yeah i don't usually put any stock in to pre-season games. and i'm still pretty certain we won't be competitive this year or next. but its hard not to be a little excited by just how good Luck looked.

Broncos for champs for the next 3 seasons, then my Colts can win the next 10.

The Lions were 4-0 in the preseason the year they went 0-16.

I'm not high on Luck because of the preseason, I've thought that he was going to be pretty good since before the Colts drafted him. I think the Colts had a pretty good player fall into their lap.

By fall into your lap you mean relentlessly tanked for?

Hey now, the Colts almost played themselves out of that pick at the end of the season. I was at the game where they beat the Texans.

I know this guy as he's a good friend of one of my soon to be coworkers. One of the nicest dudes I've ever met. He's pretty much solid muscle too. Looks like he may be getting some playing time this year.

Andrew Luck is going to have such a god awful and terrifying regular season debut. I can't wait.

Virtually no chance of that record.

My AFC projections:
1. Patriots (13-3)
2. Steelers (11-5)
3. Houston (10-6)
4. Denver (10-6)
WC1. Ravens (10-6)
WC2. Chiefs (9-7)

why dont you think the patriots can win 15 games? they play their own division where every team sucks except for them. the nfc west which sucks except for the 49ers. could see them losing to them. they would be my nfc pick for the super bowl. they play the afc south where the whole division sucks except the texans. i cant see them losing to them really though. then they play the ravens with a suggs-less defense. im giving the advantage to the pats. they play denver which should be a fun game with peyton coming to town but ultimately the pats' are a better team than the broncos and will win. i think 3 is the very highest amount of losses they have but id bet on them having one to two losses over three to four. their offense got better this year and it was top 3 best offenses in the league last year. the defense still isnt very good but with a year under their belt i cant see how they could possibly get worse considering how bad they were.
