not sold on the morris bros. fine finishers i guess but certainly can't create. haven't seen much of jennings the last few rounds but at the start of the season he was playing park footy standard. wouldn't really mind hayne on the wing over morris. it won't happen but it's not like it's particularly picking a player out of position (which i loathe). he has form there, is more than capable in d and could certainly float in offense and follow the ball.

and yeah, i'd back stewart if fit. i'd forgotten how good he was. my favourite nsw fullback over the past decade is still minichello though. he was amazing before the back problems. and i fucking hate the roosters.

Mini is good value and would do the job but he wont get picked. I like Dugan but he isnt fit as far as i can see. an 80% brett stewart should be fullback he is an amazing attacking weapon. Hayne shouldnt be on the wing he always stuffs up there defensively and get the shits that he isnt involved enough, its an ego thing.

not advocating his selection this series - past his used by date. if hayne isn't on the wing he doesn't really deserve to play. gordon's played way better at fullback over a lengthy period of time than hayne. won't happen of course.

I like gordon actually, if hes in the side i have bo problem and if hayne isnt picked at all so be it, it may inspire him to better things at club level. NSW can try and pick an origin style side and whatever but we need points to beat QLD, thats why i want stewart in there he can score or create something, so can hayne, i think the NSW forwards picked should be hard workers, and pick flare in the backs otherwise QLD will smash again.

Gus gould has had an impact at the panthers already, they played all over the bronco's. That sort of form was coming and its part coincidence, but still the difference in how they played was amazing.

haha voss tried highlighting that in commentary before sterlo shot him down and credited matt elliott. i agree, nothing to do with gus. penrith have been shit all year and turned up whereas the broncos finally had a diabolical match and gave up the ghost. shame about gordon. based on last nights performance there's no doubt who the best fullback is in nsw.

It was elliots work as well, the Gus factor probably just gave them confidence. Shame about gordon hes playing well, that now leaves fullback up to hayne and dugan to fight out, this weekend will determne that. QLD have their problems too with lockyer, hodges, inglis, shillington injured and boyd with injury cloud.

I can understand stuart picking Ennis, even though im not a fan and would rather farrah or dean young, i can see why he picked him because he is capable of niggling the opposition and he plays a tough style. King? ive got no idea why he was picked ahead of Tolman, weyman galloway, even Dan Hunt , i dont really rate him. Jennings is a specialist left centre and stuart wanted to pick players in position which is fair enough but jennings has no real form at present.Indris should be left centre, i cant see why you would make an australian side and not NSW, it makes no sense and shows how out od synch things are at times, they have done this with Gallen a couple of origins back, and years ago with Sirro and Blocker, they dont learn.

Jarryd Hayne, despite not being in great form for Parramatta over the past year or so, has been NSW's best player for the past 2 years easily. Canberra is coming last and Josh Dugan has done nothing to really warrant his spot this year. Jennings is the most overrated player in the game and definitely not the best centre NSW has to offer. Idris is the obvious choice, despite being overrated himself. I'd have picked Ennis, though.

yeah, i've changed my tune about hayne. head on nail saying he's been the blues best and it really hasn't been close. there in lies the difference between qld and nsw. they never would of dropped him and even with the strength of their current team they'd find him a place. they really could of used his creativity as a second five-eighth considering soward and pearce aren't remotely dynamic. form is temporary, class is permanent blahblahblah. jennings is lucky inglis and hodges are out because whoever he'd match up against would tear him a new one. ennis playing a tough style is bit of a myth. the guys a mouth and a fucking cat. i recall one fight where he ended up hiding behind a prop. as bad as back peddling creagh. i'm probably just blinded by my hatred though. and as big a prick as he is watmough is in the same boat as hayne. really been one of the only players to trouble the qlders in the past few series. he's clearly been blacklisted from rep footy though. please someone sack bob fucking fulton as well. always gets his token manly selection, in the case an absolute dud in king.

! That's fantastic.

I remember watching that last year and being very annoyed with Creagh. Too much of a coward to go up against Hodges.

I hope Creagh mans up this game, but all the NSW pack with need to dominate and keep QLD in their own half as much as possible if they have any chance.

I have a feeling QLD are going to win game 1 convincingly. For all the talk of NSW trying to copy QLD's approach it just doesn't change the fact that QLD are stronger in almost every position and certainly in the most important positions.

I hope I'm wrong but unless QLD play badly I don't think this series will be any better for the blues than last year. The fact QLD have two home games just adds to it.

Next year when NSW have two home games, Lockyer is retired and Smith, Slater and Thurston are all pushing 30 things might finally change.

QLD have some of the best players of the last 10 years in key positions of 1,6,7 & 9, all NSW can do is try and minimize their impact, if they do they are a chance, thats all i can say, you'd be a brave man to back against QLD games 1 game at Suncorp.
