what an unbelievable win for the rabbits against the chooks tonight, down 22-12 with two minutes left, they scored a length of the field try of the year from the kick off. here's highlights if you didn't see it.

There are so many teams I'd like to see make the top 8, but I'm hoping Raiders do this year.

i wouldn't mind them sneaking in, the current top 7 teams will be there i think, eighth is between tigers, warriors and raiders.
raiders would be my preference, regardless i think the winner will come from the top 4 with the new finals format.

its now the same as AFL, big advantage to the top four now, basically the top four get a second chance.

great to see rabbitohs in the top 4, that's where you have to be to win it... also Inglis is a freak, i dont know if anyone saw his tackle on Uate tonight, it was the best tackle in a long time, its near impossible to stop Uate at speed stepping three metres out but he smashed him, stopped the try knocked the ball back in field, just a tremendous play, what a player. i hope he brings his A game to the finals, because if he does rabbits are a good chance.

Yeah, that tackle was pretty amazing. Phil Gould thought it was alright, too.

Finally, Broncos end their 6 game losing streak (albeit unconvincingly). This year has been very surprising. Broncos struggle to make the top 8 after being 2nd on the ladder halfway through the year, Bulldogs on top of the ladder, Raiders making the top 8, Sharks being as dominant as they are, Cowboys looking to be a top 4 team, and Souths' huge improvement.

broncos are in the eight and should be they have the side, but still unconvincing, they struggled to beat 2nd last place panthers, they might grow a leg in the finals who knows?

Pretty good coaching performance from Des Hasler to get the Bulldogs the minor premiership in his first season there.

Hard to pick who's going to win the comp from here though. Not much between the top 4 teams (I find it hard to see someone from outside the top 4 winning given the finals format).

I could maybe see the Cowboys as a team outside the top 4 with a decent chance of winning the comp. I can't see the Broncos progressing past this week's round, though I'd love to.

The cowboys would be some chance, but if they win this weekend they'd then have to win 2 away games in a row against top 4 sides to make the grand final. That's a pretty tough ask.
