Fuck the Angels. Just because they're willing to stupidly overpay for a rental (and that's all they're paying for his desire to go to Anaheim will be barely effected by being traded their first) means they may beat the Rangers this year. Oh well at least they've depleted their farm system even further.

I was pretty happy to see this move, honestly. Keep sacrificing future seasons for today, please.

Well I know you're happy. And I'm happy for the medium term but damn does it annoy me now.

Greinke sounds real excited to be going to LA. They'll be able to throw as much money at him as anyone else next season, but I'd say the chances of him resigning are purdy slim.

In retrospect, it's kind of hilarious how before the season started I said the Giants' offense would suck and monga said the Reds' pitching would suck.

They're only 12.5 back.

They've lost like 4 games in the standings since I made an optimistic post about them a month-ish ago. I still think there is room for Washington regression and the rotation could suddenly go into beast mode yet, but things are pretty bleak.

Wouldn't mind trading for Joe Blanton if they are tryna blow things up.

One thing I've actually been right about

Believe it or not, through 101 games, St. Louis ranks among the best National League offenses over the last 50 or so years. During the expansion era (since 1961), only three teams have posted a higher wRC+ than the mark that the Cardinals currently boast: the 1975 Reds (114 wRC+), the 1998 Astros (114 wRC+), and the absurdly good 1976 Reds (123 wRC+).

Pence going to San Fran apparently. Congrats Monga! At least you know he'll be around next year, unlike Beltran.

Haven't heard that definitively. All I know for sure is that Victorino is now a Dodger, which quite frankly is exactly the way things should be.
