I think I'm ready to call the league for united. Chelsea, City, arsenal...you guys just worry about Europe.

Did you watch that Southampton game? Or the Everton game? In now way would I give them the league right now, at all.

their defense has been battered, in that game against Everton they had Valencia and Carrick playing as backs. Getting Carrick and Valencia back to the midfield has helped things alot. The game against Southampton was just a well fought game. Man U shouldn't concede 2 goals to a club like Southampton but Southampton did well on both goals and Van Persie bailed them out. I don't see a reason why they can't win the league still, especially with Man City and Chelsea both looking pedestrian yesterday against weak teams.

Of course Manchester United can win the league, but it's far too early to call it for them. They could get thrashed by Liverpool (lol) next week and Chelsea and Man City/Arsenal could dominate their opponents.

This stretch is pretty hellish. For this visual purpose, _ = one days rest.

Southampton_ _ Montpiller _ _ _ _Man City _ _ Coventry _ _ Chelsea _ _ _ Olympiacos _ _ West Ham

Bit of rest between Mont and Man City, but still...shit three league champions and the european champions...super dope

Dude, utd always beats the southhamptons that way EVERY year, every round they face them. They have their shit together more than spurs or chelsea or city, sure their back line is a mess (not moreso than pool's amirite lol), it's me being a little bold and perhaps a little bit of posturing on my part...ill admit it..but the first 4 rounds looks like a solid 90-95 point season for utd. dont see any squad who will post points like that. It's been an odd first 4 rounds, less united...fucking winning.

I don't know how you can be that confident, though. I had them at 2nd place, but so far they have only played everton (lost to), Fulham (3-2), Southampton (3-2), Wigan. Besides yesterday, I wouldn't consider any of the games a dominating performance, and at the least way too close than they should have been.

The seasons is quite early, and the fatigue from multiple cups has not set in yet. Still mid sept. Long season still ahead. Don't think Liverpool will get relegated, but at this point in the season, they are in 17th; no way do i see them that far down at the end of the year. Gonna say 9th at the worst.

No way lv'pool is relegated...even if the team is a living museum of guys who used to be great...no way they're relegated. I watched utd against everton....Fellani played the game of his life. Im just seeing united pull out these douchey wins that they shouldn't get when they're not at their best.

I don't know if you guys follow Garth Crook's team of the week on the BBC website, but this is one truly hilarious team selection.

I do occasionally, though Fantasy Premier League's weekly dream team usually mitigates the need. I'm always reading Mark Lawrenson's Premier League predictions though. I find it hilarious that a man who has made his living commentating football for decades regularly gets trounced by celebrities.
