I said exactly that here at work at the start of the season and was laughed at. Then in November there was an article in 4-4-2 which had the headline "Is La Liga The New SPL?" which made great comparisons between the two, although not about the standard obviously.

It's only been like that since about 08 or 09. Before that, you would have other teams challenging at the top. Sevilla back in 07, Sociedad back in 04, Valencia and Deportivo obviously won titles at the beginning of the century. The worrying thing is that the points totals of the last few years will continue - and if the tv rights continue to be distributed as they are, that'll be hard to stop.

I like La Liga, but it's getting boring... even the Clásicos are really easy to predict. It's still hard to know who will win, though. I like that.

Manchester City were so, so lucky today they should of lost to Spurs who were the better team. Balotelli should of being sent off for stamping on Scott Parker's head. Balotelli will of effectively of won the league for City if United get anything other than a win against Arsenal today.

There's absolutely no way you can say Balotelli intended to stamp on Parker. It's supposition.
Disappointing defeat but somehow not as depressing as I thought it would be (i'd written the game off before) because all the terms directly below us lost or in Chelsea's case, only drew.
Bale should have squared the ball for Defoe yards earlier than he did. Then Defoe would have collected the ball in stride.
