That wasn't Burton. That was Schumacher.

Oh, right. No complaints then. I still think Burton's Batman had the best costume of the live action Batman movies so far. It sure beats the abomination that is Nolan's costume.

However none of the live action Batman movies will truly get the costume right until it looks like this.

Seriously, when they reboot Batman again and I'm sure they will, they need to just accept the spandex, I know they think it's silly, but Spiderman got away with it, and it's actually much more practical than the bulky getups from the movies in which the actors could barely move.

Bale has unparalleled maneuverability in the costume from TDK/TDKR.

that's because spiderman's spandex is thick and he's pretty skinny. batman is a big guy and he can't do spandex unless the actor has some big, chiseled quads.

It's the only one that gets the mask right.

The Keaton costume had it's weird quirks like being really difficult to move around in, but Bale's just looks fucking awkward by comparison. Burton's costume actually looks, I dunno, gothic. While the Nolan costume just looks like a cheap halloween costume. And then there's those ugly "modern" patterns that looks like someone from Bungie designed the thing.

Voted "meh". I definitely enjoyed it but it was criminally overrated.

I'd say very good for genre and good movie overall. But I'd take the Avengers over it.

Just the way people behave so stupidly in the movie if they aren't the Joker. The car chase scene itself is gigantically implausible. Even more so is smuggling enough explosives into a packed hospital to blow it up and smuggling explosives onto ferry's when you've got the whole city on lockdown.

Absolutely. So unrealistic. And I'm pretty sure the reason it annoyed me so much is because of 9/11 Truthers.

My favourite Batman film is still Mask of Phantasm. I love it.

I see your Mask of Phantasm and raise you Return of the Joker (the uncut version, of course)

A worthy choice, but not worthy enough. Under The Red Hood and Batman & Mr Freeze are great too.

It's all about Mask of the Phantasm. The single best Batman dramatization ever.

PS, Anybody seen Year One?
