My second favourite show of 2014 right now. I really wasn't expecting much from this but holy shit, I haven't felt this tense and uncomfortable watching a show in I don't know how long. Excellent stuff.

True Detective, Louie, Game of Thrones and Fargo have made this an incredible year for TV. I had zero expectations for this to be any good and only watched the first ep out of curiosity. Sure glad I did now. So many creative and intense scenes.

Idea sounded stupid. Saw it getting good reviews so watched it out of curiosity, and boy oh boy is it frickin excellent. Probably my favorite thing FX has done ever.

What a great season. Overall I found it much more satisfying than True Detective. I wonder what's gonna happen to this for further seasons; seeing this cast of characters again would kind of ruin the note that it ended on. Maybe a season based on another Coen movie?

Another season based on another Coen movie would make zero sense.

Finally finished the last two eps. Just incredible stuff. I'm also amused by the fact that Martin Freeman has now twice answered the fox/rabbit/cabbage question (also on UK Office).

Fargo (the show) already has so many connections, references and plot points ripped straight off from No Country For Old Men, Barton Fink, The Man Who Wasn't There and others - why would it make zero sense? Anyway, Noah Hawley's been teasing doing either that or a season based on Sioux Falls.

True Detective was a tad too long.Spoiler: I didn't like McConaughey's character surviving or his near death mental anguish from visions of his daughter and father. Claire Danes and Sofia Helin do psychological disorders better than McConaughey.

Fargo, which is far more surreal than all other detective dramas, ended well. Or, about as well as could be expected. Spoiler: The only real surprise was the bear trap in the laundry.

Kurt Wallander has been solid over the years. The Bridge, Danish version, is good too.
