At most Futurama should have had one reunion season after the movies. Purely for nostalgia and to wrap up any possible angles. Same thing with the Office after Carrell left.

I don't even think any angles really needed to be wrapped up but yes.

I could really see Dinklage getting nominated in the lead category, he was the main focus of the show this season. If not, I can't see him not winning supporting, even if he did it last time.
No love for Michael Shannon?

Of course I know he ended up not getting lead but I thought so too. I don't have enough television viewing to knock Monga's picks just that all thre GOT actors were incredible. Also Julia Louis Dreyfus in VEEP is literally perfect so that one I guess I will dispute.

Aside from Dinklage, none of the Thrones actors got Emmy nods. Same ol shit in the drama categories.

Yep Emmys have been rather shitty like that for a while.

Not a matter of not getting lead. Actors choose whether to submit for lead or supporting, and he chose supporting (and rightly so, since GoT is a true ensemble and Dinklage is only a lead in the sense that his name goes first in the credits).

FYI Rob Lowe has always submitted as a lead actor on every show he's ever been in, including Parks and Rec where he's literally the most marginal actor in the main cast. So if he can do that it means there's really no policing it and it's entirely up to the actors themselves.

Dinklage was easily the lead of the second season, just as Bean was easily the lead in the first. The cast is flushed out enough though that supporting makes sense so I don't find any fault with it.

I also noticed this is the first year Mariska Hargitay hasn't been nominated, so at least there's that.

I read that HBO is doing an adaptation of American Gods. Just thinking about it now made a lil pre-cum dribble out

I've been watching Bravo a lot cause they're playing Olympic tennis and I keep seeing ads for this show called The New Normal. On one ad, this mother is talking to her daughter and say, "Oh, I love the gays. I'd never get my hair to look so good without them," which just reminds me of Lucille in Arrested Development in the very first episode (maybe the first thing we hear from her in the series?) saying, "Look what the gays have done to me." And then I realize how much better Arrested Development is and how much I love that show.
