Just finished the series five minutes ago, and it's without a doubt one of the best series I've seen. Highlights of the show, or the two times where I actually shed a few tears, was when they did Wallace and when Michael let go of Bug. I don't see why there's not more love for Michael. I thought he was a great character, though his ending wasn't much to my liking, which brings me to why I don't get how a lot of you/most of you believe Omar to be the best character. He's a cool dude and I enjoyed the episodes where he was in, but given the realistic aspect that the show is supposed to have, I couldn't help but feel that Omar seemed like something they put in there to garner greater appeal. How the fuck does one man survive for so long doing what he does? And it doesn't exactly get more realistic.
Haynes is also one I'd like to point out. Probably the character I can relate the most to, in terms of decisions he makes and how he handles what he does. Now I'm sad there's not more of the series to watch. Also, Levy and Clay Davis would be a tie for biggest assholes in the series for me.
I think Omar is fairly realistic but the way in which he dies is also realistic. Gunned down by what he least expects. Hard to kill a smart man when he knows shit is coming.
