Love this show. I enjoyed pretty much the whole first series and can't remember disliking an episode. The few that stick out or mostly based on flashbacks Louie had, so the "jesus episode" and the "whip it out" episode.

Can't wait! Louis is maybe my favourite comedian, although I'm not well versed in that area at all. Can you guys recommend any comedians similar to him, or perhaps comedians that influenced him?

Not really many modern comics that i like, that i can think of, are influenced by Louis. Sometimes Ricky, sometimes paton, and sometimes maybe brian reegan, but not many

Influences on Louis: Chris Rock, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Dave Chappelle, bill cosby and lenny bruce, apparently.

If you like Louis CK I would definitely also recommend Patton Oswalt (though he's not quite as good imo).

Funny, I like Patton Oswald a good deal, and I think Louis CK totally fucking sucks.

Can't wait for the new season now. I'm gonna wait until tomorrow to watch it since I don't have FX and won't be able to download it tonight since it'll be too late.

The God episode is my favorite so far. Not sure I laughed once, but I'm pretty sure I was moved to tears at the sight of a young CK holding the cross in his arms. Such a powerful, sad image of a poor manipulated child. That episode was just perfect.

There wasn't a single clunker the entire first season. Some episodes were beneath others but overall I can't come up with any significant criticism of this show.

I'm only six episodes into season one at the moment, but this is definitely a great show.
