Yes. The first half of the second season is kind of dull, but these past few episodes have made up for it.

Oh, my God, you're dead, too.

Can't spend weeks on moral debates when it's the goddamn apocalypse.

It's amazing how this series went from a 'meh' first season via a mostly dreadfully tedious second season, to a more-than-competent third season so far. I'm watching it with a friend who's also read the comic, and we're both very happy with where this is heading. Still, there's no excuse for how overlong and poorly written that second season was. It could have been cut down to about 4-5 episodes where we got the essentials of the farm story, with no ridiculous bickering over that damn prisoner, who never actually made any difference to the story after all. He was just there to drag out the season, much like Lori's hilarious zombie encounter during her little drive, or Carl's even dumber zombie encounter in the woods. Totally unnecessary situations where people make stupid decisions because it says so in the script.

Dale's demise was a welcome one. Ditto with T-Bone or whatever his name was. That guy was the biggest WTF of the show for me, because he appears to have replaced the very capable and likable Tyreese in the comics, one of the series' strongest characters. T-Bone's personality is that he has no personality. He's the token black guy. At least Dale had some good lines in the TV series, even though he spent most of his time being the worried old guy who tries to do the right thing. Dale was another character whose death meant nothing to me, except perhaps relief.

I like the direction this show is going in, very bleak and forlorn.

I finished the first season today. The show is incredibly predictable, yet somehow intense and interesting at the same time.

It's crazy how much better this third season is than the rest of the series so far.

I'm caught up to season 3. Does anyone know where I can watch the episodes of this season online?

The last episode was the strongest so far. Managed to actually have a couple of strong quiet emotional moments which got to be a rarity last season. Plus Andrea was interesting for like a minute.

Agreed, I watched it with a fellow Walking Dead aficionado, and the first thing I uttered once the credits started rolling was: "THAT was a great fucking episode". Best one so far? Quite possible. Getting rid of the initial token black guy was a blessing, and the one they've got now actually cracks me up. Good move.

I honestly think that it's worth skipping large parts of the first two seasons for first-time viewers, because I imagine many being turned off by the amateurish scripts and plots that never go anywhere. I stopped watching the show, and only finished the second season because I heard good things about the current one.

Sure hope they can keep it this way.
