I haven't seen Freak and Geeks and I've only see a few minutes of the US Office, but Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm and UK Office are all meh. They're watchable and have a few funny moments here and there, but they're really not my sort of comedy. They exude and unpleasant, cringe-worthy awkwardness.

I can understand one not liking AD or CYE for not giving out enough lols, but saying they are 'meh' because they exude awkwardness is like saying Jimi Hendrix is 'meh' because he uses loud guitars. The shows are built almost entirely on that awkwardness. That's more or less the entire point of CYE - Larry gets into all kinds of awkward situations. Not to mention the other positive aspects of each show. I haven't seen much of the others so I can't comment.

I haven't really watched any of these shows except both versions of The Office. I think the british one is fantastic, but as much as I like Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson I just can't get into the US one. Kinda strange that I get the humor of the foreign one but not the one made in my own country.

Lol no, I was referencing NC's 'rant' in the "greatest tv comedy of our generation" thread, where he claimed that every show on that list was unfunny and American Dad was better because it 'wasn't pretentious'

I said "at least it isn't pretentious". I didnt say "It's better because it isn't pretentious".

I'm sorry that you cant handle the concept of someone having a.......*gasp*.....DIFFERENT opinion.....

It's just that your opinion is objectively wrong.

Seriously, do you pick the most arbitrary opinions on the planet just for trollbait or something?

Stan: Steve, meet Patriot Pigeon.
Steve: You wrote a children's book?
Stan: No, Steve, I wrote 3,012 children's books, each chronicling the adventures of Patriot Pigeon, who battles America's enemies by dropping red, white, and blue turds of justice.

Gotta be my favorite line from Stan.
