Curiosity was probably looking at the lower half of the list because he's edgy.

I really, really think Guy Pearce's performance in Memento deserves a spot here.

i was basically going by critical acclaim with a hint of cultural impact and popularity (for those who created characters that entered pop culture: Jack Sparrow for example). but mostly critical acclaim (which includes acclaim from the acting community)

Nice inclusion. But you're missing #6.

Could Nic Cage get a mention on the list? His role in Adaptation. is one for the ages, as far as I'm concerned...

Am I the only person who thinks that Kevin Spacey's performance in American Beauty is overrated? I thought he did well but nothing about his performance really impressed me. Heck, I don't even think he had the best performance in the film (I thought Chris Cooper did great).

uh...why is TWBB number 1 and SotL 2? I'm sure that Hopkins performance is more popular and culturally important, and possibly more acclaimed. Definitely more influential had major impact on many actors for the small time he was on screen. Also I feel Cage in Leaving Las Vegas is a bit low.

Whoe else thinks that Fiennes' performance in Schindler's List is better than that of Neeson?

I certainly do.. I've never had any kind of opinion about Neeson, never been impressed.. And Fiennes is just a marvelous bad guy in general..
