What are some good actors you hate given any reason if there is a reason?

Samuel Jackson
Mel Gibson (sometimes)
Nicolas Cage

Cage can be excellent when he wants. Gibson needs the right role (bat-shit crazy usually is the right role)

Gibson always takes similiar roles. Assuming here that versatility is a criterion when gauging whether an actor is skilled or not, I'd say Gibson fits more so in the latter camp. Cage was entertaining as hell in Kick Ass, and he's a had a few strong roles, but dear lawd Ghost Rider and The Happening + that treasure hunt franchise which was essentially a really watered down Davinci Code were awful, so it's hard to see past that :roll:

Honestly he's good all the time, he just happens to take a lot of real crap films which stigmatizes him.
Agree with Kilmer, he is absolutely brilliant in Tombstone, and just decent in most everything else (loved him in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang though). I don't think I could list Swayze or Costner as "good" though.

Haven't actually seen National Treasure, it just looked lackluster and ugh from the trailer. I don't vouch for the Da Vinci flicks much either...

He has a lot of potential and has delivered a few times, but he can be pretty average.
I would like to see Bad Lieutenant though.

On the topic of National Treasure, I just with Sean Bean would do better movies.
I really like him but he's in a lot of crap.

Samuel Jackson is definitely my choice. He was fantastic in Pulp Fiction but movies like Jumper, The Man, Black Snake Moan, Snakes on a Plain, SWAT and maybe Star Wars make me say 'wtf are you doing Samuel?'
