Nick,
I just got Volume 2 of the Tea Party series, and hot damn this is amazing stuff. I think you're right about this Rattlesnake Shake, it's a little better than the version on Vol. 1...some of those parts are just hair-raising...
Plus, Oh Well and the Encore Jam with Clapton and Walsh are just outrageously good.

This tone is unbeatable, you've convinced me of that. THIS IS HOW ELECTRIC GUITARS SHOULD SOUND!

Neg, glad you're back, man!

I'm no position to download albums now, could you post some nice Green performance here?

Will do, shortly.
Live In Boston is the absolute pinnacle of live rock guitar. Green and Kirwan are just playing out of their skin!

Green had a killer voice too!

Ok, all of those were absolutely amazing, that performance of I've Got A Mind To Give Up Living was such a mindblowing performance. What a tone and what fantastic phrasing. Amazingly tasteful player, I never found any second of noodling or overplaying there.

Volume 2 is superb, always thought you had it, Josh.

150,000+ views for I've Got A Mind To Give Up Living. Amazing.

Victim,

Wow !! Thanks for that !! I never heard that version of " I got a mind to give up living"
Amazing Greeny artistry on display. Brilliant , you're right, one of the best ever! :tiphat:

Is that live version available on itunes or cd ?

Up until I heard that, this cut below was always my #1 Greeny emotive solo of all time.

Bamba,
Great solo in that one, but I honestly don't think it's one of Green's best.

And yah that Got A Mind... is unbelievable. Check out Bloomfield's version too, with the Butterfield Blues Band.

Another good version of Mind To Give Up Living:

EDIT: I've reminded myself of this one by listening again and "good" doesn't do it justice at all. Outrageously good.

Shit, that was great! I don't think it beats that other version, but still...wow. That song seemed to really inspire him....

And how the HELL does he get that tone? Aside from Jeff Beck and maybe Bloomfield, I've never heard a tone that can match his.
