gminer,
What do those songs have to do with Nirvana? I dont hear a lot of similarities myself.
The riff to SLTS was a slight tweaking of Boston's "More Than A Feeling".

And OH YES I love 'Then Came The Last Days Of May'. I borrowed the debut album from a friend a while back, and I absolutely fell in love with it.
After 'Last Days Of May', I think 'Screams' has gotta be my favorite tune on the album.

I really need to get Tyranny And Mutation, and of course the live album.

That is some killer shit, Seeker! Beck is my favorite guitarist ever, regardless of genre, and has been for years.

I'd be curious to hear your opinion on my BOC link at the top of this page.

Dont know why, but BOC has kinda passed me by over the years (apart from the obvious). Thats my bad, and something I need to rectify, I really enjoyed the clip and Dhama gets some nice live tone there. The guys over at Dinosaur seem to rave over BOC, so I need to listen to some more !!

Never understood why he wasn't more well known. A guy that played with him wrote that he totally cut Clapton once.

What does "cut Clapton" mean?

And yeah I've heard Cherry Red Wine before, killer guitar without question.

A "head-cutting" duel is another name for a guitar duel. Basically blowing the other guy away. Although I doubt their intent was to play better than the other. Here's an example with Hendrix and Clapton:

Really digging this. Frank's new Carvin signature guitar is a very pretty instrument indeed.

May look pretty, but i thought it sounded pretty awful. Hated the tone and I just thought the piece lacked any musicality. Sounded like a buch of cobbled together little licks all aimed at one thing - getting Frank into his 'sweeping' section. We all know he's a great sweeper, but eveything I hear these days just seems to have that same formula.

it is indeed a very pretty instrument, but Im with Seeker. Had this slightly hollow echoed out sound which does not suit my ears much.

I noticed it straight away. Carvin have been making a similar model for years, as has any company that offers a "semi-hollow body" line.

Dont think ive posted this before, but neat clip of 3 acoustic guitars play 'Freebird' at christmas party

Singer and Rhythm is the singer from UK Steely Dan tribute band 'Nearly Dan'
Hidden behind the pillar is the wonderful Les Hunt from 'The Climax Blues Band'
