Very nice performance. I saw him on that tour, when he played at the O2 Academy at Islington, London. Nice to finally see him live and as a musical show it was kickass, though he didn't play quite as good as I'm used to hearing him play.

He's gotten some serious hearing issues after years of this:

The headphones block out unwanted noise, and lets him hear a nice and balanced mix that's not too loud. In other words, they're noise-cancelling headphone monitors.

The dude is definitely good no doubt and he did nail the tremolo bar stuff but it still feels like someone covering vai as opposed to vai actually playing, something about his vibrato and his touch. To Soda, the guy does have his own stuff http://www.youtube.com/user/CesarHuescaMusic

On the topic of vai does anyone else reckon that vai wrote and recorded this song and orianthi just used it on her record under her name? I mean all her solos and lines in the song sound exactly like something vai himself would play

Yeah I know I've seen some of his vids but I don't really see him as being right for the list. Maybe I just need to hear more of his material, but he doesn't really sound metal enough for the list regardless of his level of skill. Some people don't even think Vai is metal enough for it, and from what I've heard from Huesca he isn't much more metal than Vai and Satriani. This should really be discussed in the Most Skilled Metal Guitarists thread, but I'll just add one more thing. It'd be helpful if in future when you want to recommend someone Scarified, if you posted links of the players original material rather than links to covers.

I thought the same thing when I watched that vid. I'm not really a big fan of Orianthi. Sometimes I feel like people just make a big deal about her because she's a woman that plays a mean guitar.
