That would be amazing - Dont know what the ladies would do whilst we talk music, but I guess theres alway shopping !!!

Get Rick to join us and we could setup a DDD veterans and seniors club and play dominoes and discusss the latest developments in Zimmer frame technology etc.

Oh Well - all this typing has made me tired, better go for a nap !!

At the beginning of DDD.com I travelled to Florida to meet Lew. We talked over some cold ones so 'this' would be a hoot as well. In fact you should include Lew, just amazing to hear how he keeps the site up and running daily.

Well I was mainly thinking of Blues Deluxe, where he goes off into some almost shred-like techniques. The tone is rock all the way. In fact I've rarely heard him use a real blues tone.

I'm not sure what a blues tone is. SRV certainly doesnt sound like Peter Green and BB doesnt sound like Robben Ford (no one does). I dont think the Blues has a tone per se. Heres Joe at 15 sharing the stage with Robben. Overplays, but hey who wouldnt at 15. He used a strat, is that more like the tone youre after?

..

Sorry to repeat a previous post, but whilst on teh subject of the blues and Robben Ford, I cant miss this oportunity to repost this link to the finest blues solo I've ever heard.

Rick,

I should have thought of getting together with Lew, usually get to Florida once every few years and was just there two weeks ago (if I`m not mistaken you are living in California?) ... will need to start some planning but meeting the Seeker in the UK is on my bucket list, he has always been a intelligent, well spoken gentleman and he sent me a Blackmore dvd way back in the beginning of ddd and I have never forgotten that random act of kindness ... Take care
