Because my collection at one time had reached a couple thousand, a large number of which are collector items and with changes in my life the need to downsize became apparent. As the saying goes, I'd like my records to go to a good home and so far they have.

Never was a big fan of downloading, and youtube has most of the songs anyway.
Duane & Dickey were just totally in the zone that night....

Fripp is great, no doubt about it...

Anyway, finally got my copy of Stonybrook and man, what a fucking guitar album!
Aside from the awe-inspiring version of Blue Sky that Nick has posted before, there's also a blistering One Way Out, for starters...

The beginning of Trucks' This Sky is very similar to the beginning of Shuggie Otis' Freedom Flight:

Didn't there use to be a thread here with clips of DDD guys playing guitar? Just tried out the recording on my phone to seee if it sounded alright, so I thought I'd check what you guys thought. I'm playing the famous (?) tapping lick in "Sea of Lies" by Symphony X, a tad below the actual speed, cause I'm not quite there. It also turned up in some weird format, but I was able to open the file in my VLC player, which I reckon most people have.
