does anyone know if the Segovia/Django story is true? the legend being that Segovia saw him play and demanded to see the sheet music and Django just laughed it off because he had just improvised it all. sounds like a tall tale to me, but funny to imagine.

He's amazing. I'm barely familiar with the 6-disc set of his I have, but it's incredible.

actually segovia was too proud to ask him in person, he sent someone to ask him for sheet music afterwards, and django being an illiterate musician (and citizen) of course had nothing of the kind
