Nice. :thumb:

What a great folk guitarist he is. Anyone who hasn't heard of him in this subforum should totally make it worth their while to seek his stuff out. Aside from being a tremendous guitarist, he's also a brilliant songwriter and has a great voice

Rumour and Sigh is my favorite and its arguably his most popular. It's worth checking for "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" alone, but there's some other top notch songs on there. Other than that, Mock Tudor is great, and the Richard & Linda Thompson albums I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight and Shoot Out the Lights are excellent as well.

2-against-3 is god's gift to mankind... why is western music so rhythmically retarded as a whole?!?!?!?

105. Yngwie Malmsteen (rock)

188. Uli Jon Roth (rock)

This is wrong on so many levels I can't even begin to comprehend it. I'll only say, no Roth no Yngwie and Roth >>>>>> Yngwie on most points in the innovation/importance crtieria and ALL points in the playing abilities. Yngwie is a kid compared to Roth in guitar terms. And whats he doing at 105 anyway? 205 more like it. Sheesh! :zoid:

That Atkins track has been a favorite for over a year now, just never posted it. I am still blissfully unaware of all things jazz and classical guitar, beside a compilation of Django, I had owned nothing previously. Ive got Ocean Memories and Tour De force from Bola Sete now, but thats about it. No Matter though, plenty of time. One could only listen to guitar music throughout their lifespan and still not hear enough. But on the topic of Chet Atkins, a recommendation, a compilation album perhaps ?

Also, I shall put more effort into listening to all recommendations by the likes of you, rick, rv, etc.
