There were basically two separate threads for this in the old forum, but since we're mostly through the year I don't think we need the "what are you looking forward to?" thread as well.

2. Shutter Island (93 A)
3. The Social Network (91 A-)

10. Date Night (78 C+)
11. Kick-Ass (77 C)
12. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (77 C)

these grades are kindof arbitrary and change daily but its a reflection at least of what range i think they fit in.

need to see: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Animal Kingdom, Inception, Black Swan, 127 Hours, Winter's Bone, Greenberg, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The King's Speech, The American, Cyrus, Let Me In, The Ghost Writer, How to Train Your Dragon, Flipped, Green Zone, The Book of Eli, Hereafter, Due Date, The Killer Inside Me, Stone, Red, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Never Let Me Go, Clash of the Titans, Monsters, Another Year, Night Catches Us, The Losers, The Kids Are All Right, Machete, Easy A, The Extra Man, Fair Game, The Last Exorcism, Conviction, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Next Three Days, Buried, Please Give, 44 Inch Chest, Hot Tub Time Machine, Salt, The Wolfman, Love Ranch, Piranha, Tangled, Faster, I Love You Phillip Morris, Cop Out, Repo Men, Jack Goes Boating, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, Shrek Forever After, It's Kind of a Funny Story, Unstoppable, The Karate Kid, Four Lions, Megamind, Jonah Hex, The Last Airbender, Despicable Me, Dinner for Schmucks, Secretariat, The Crazies, The Killing Jar, Edge of Darkness, Saint John of Las Vegas, The Runaways, Going the Distance, Saw 3D, The Switch, She's Out of My League, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, Casino Jack, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Knight and Day, Valentine's Day, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, From Paris with Love, Legion, Eat Pray Love, Grown Ups, MacGruber, Death at a Funeral, For Colored Girls, Morning Glory,

dont know that i'll like a lot of those in the second half of that list, but im gonna give them a shot and see. if any of you have any suggestions to add to my list, let me know. (documentaries on are a separate list). also, going by IMDb's years just for consistency. otherwise i would include Harry Brown and Get Low on my list of movies to see.

Absolutely no depth to speak of.
But then neither does Singin in the Rain. ;)

There's about as much depth as in the original scriptwise. Since its not the original medium, it's more shallow though.

good point drew, which is why I still keep it as my favorite movie since it's main goal for me is to make me feel good. But even then, it's a pictorially beautifully shot movie with songs I can return to. I guess I should just ask that then, if it at least looks good. Plus singin in the rain still has stood up over the years, scott pilgrim has flash in the pan vibes written all over it. That being said, I should probably see it before I say anything else.

Scott Pilgrim was the most fun I had watching a film since Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Haven't seen Scott Pilgrim, all I know is that I spied some Deaf N0at cosplay in the trailer. Fantastic Mr. Fox is wonderful.

By now I think I've watched Fantastic Mr. Fox twenty times and I still enjoy it just as much.
