Honestly, I think Apocalypse Now beats out One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, too.

Depends on the criteria, really. But still, A New Hope is incredibly influential.

What exactly does Clockwork beat it in? Their about equal in overall acclaim, more or less, and Star Wars is greater by no measurable amount in the popularity, impact and influence areas.

I agree that Star Wars could bump up a spot.

all i know is The Last Picture Show should be at least Top 20 and California Split - one of the most underrated films of all time - is missing.
