i think it counts as 2012. it showed at the LA film festival in 2011, but didn't have it's actual self-proclaimed premier until SXSW 2012, or a limited release until may.

my parents and friends from austin have been hyping it so much lately. the small-town texans apparently are hilariously accurate, and not exaggerated for comedic value like many people who haven't been to tiny tiny texas towns might think. they compared the movie to fargo. i can't wait to see it.
