Location: here. hi.
noticed we haven't made this thread yet.

Anyway, there was a 50% off sale at FYE, and on top of that a 30% sale on used DVDs. So I got all these for about $12 total:
Hannah and Her Sisters
Gates of Heaven (this was $2 and sold used but unopened - the security stickers were still on it - bought it sight unseen because Roger Ebert said it was one of the best documentaries ever made and i've been meaning to watch it for a while)
Phish: Live in Brooklyn (this one was a new copy, and I snagged it for $5. The used copy they had actually cost more then the brand new copy (at $8))

Just bought The New World for five bucks at my Barnes & Noble. I haven't seen it and I have a strict policy of getting DVDs of movies I haven't seen yet, but I thought I might as well take the risk. It's Malick, after all.

Finally got my copy of Night of the Hunter from that B&N sale. Apparently that thing is selling really well because I ordered it the Thursday after it came out and it didn't ship until right before Thanksgiving. I also got the first season of Community on DVD and Unbreakable on Blu-Ray at a Wal-Mart on Black Friday.

This week I snagged the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol on Blu-Ray and I found a technically used but mint condition Blu-Ray of the Complete Monterey Pop for 33 bucks, which is a few bucks cheaper than I could have gotten it during B&N's sale. Was going to pick up Fantasia, but that obviously won out.

Got me a copy of Julien Donkey-Boy, brand new, sealed for $3 at Big Lots. It's listed as $21 on Amazon, I probably should've bought every copy they had and flipped them. Also got Twin Peaks season 2 for $10 which I believe to be out of print. Might also be worth a pretty penny.

Big Lots has some serious shit.

For Xmas, got:

Twilight Zone Season 1 Blu-Ray
The Pacific Blu-Ray
Inception Blu
The Larry Sanders Show: The Complete Series DVD

Asked for Fantasia, but hey, I can just pick it up later. Also got some cash, most of which I'm saving for buys in Jan and Feb but some of which I might drop to order some stuff. I want the White Material and Certified Copy Blus from the UK but might wait to see if they get released here since the movies will play on a Region A player but not the extras.

The Scarlet Empress
The Exterminating Angel
Thank You For Smoking
A Hard Day's Night

I also got a Blu Ray player and am hoping to get some Blu Rays once I get more money.
