One day when I'm drunk and have nothing else to look forward to in life, I'll probably update this beast of a list finally.

The most excruiciatingly terrible movie I've ever seen is probably Pet Semetary 2.

There's no way that either of these movies is the worst, but I've never had a worse experience in the theater than when I went to go see Spider-Man 3, walked out of that, then snuck into see Sweeney Todd and walked out of that as well.

I liked it in spite of the godawful singeing. Why oh why did Burton make this a musical?

Because it's based on a musical?

I liked the songs themselves, but they probably would have been better if they adopted the old film musical tradition of lip synching, though I understand Burton's reasons for not doing that.

I thought Depp and Carter did an ok job all considering, it's definitely not Oliver Reed in Tommy levels of badness.

Did he sing himself in that movie?

Tommy > Sweeney Todd, hands down

And who cares if it's based on a musical? Does that mean an adaptation cannot result in a regular non-musical film? The film was good enough without the songs.

Tommy rules. Sweeney Todd doesn't really. So what I said earlier must be true.

Perhaps, but those are two of the films I hate the most.

theatre folks across the country would revolt if someone adapted Sondheim without the music. he's like a god to us. we'd be throwing glitter all over the goddamn place.

Spider-Man 3 is Batman & Robin for a whole new generation. Except Spider-Man 3 wasn't supposed to be idiotic.
