The only good thing about the Oscars was that Roger Ebert retweeted me and I picked up like 70 followers in one night. Everything about the actual program was shit, and I'm not even talking about the winners.

Sanjuro, I didn't even you had a Twitter account until I saw that retweet because I recognized the name "Not Just Movies" from your blog. I've just remembered to follow you now after trawling Ebert's account for your retweet (alot easier than just searching for your account if a link to your account is right there on his page).

To put that ridiculous, meaningless tweet in a context that only slightly improves it, it was obviously when Billy Crystal came on and I was so delirious with boredom I actually got excited by him when normally I find his shit so tired I hate his own Oscar work for different reasons than Anne/James. But somehow Ebert spotted it after a few other people retweeted it and put it on his thing and it exploded. I honestly don't get it. It's not even a joke, really. But I got 70 followers out of it so I'm just gonna say "Thanks, Uncle Roger" and roll with it. Especially because now more people follow me than I follow and I'm going to bring up social media in any and all internships interviews I do.
