Amadeus is an example of a movie that's butchered in the Directors' Cut. All the added scenes (especially the scenes where Mozart instructs the dog family's daughter) have little, if anything, to add and disrupt the flow of the movie which was perfect in the theatrical release. Such a shame that they only have the DX on Blu-ray.

On the other hand I've heard that the DX of Kingdom of Heaven is a vast improvement over the original film.

Yeah Kingdom Of Heaven is quite a different experience when i watched the Director's Cut..it adds so much i wouldn't know where to start but it does explain a lot more with Bastian's relationship with his father and the battle scenes are not only longer but there are several more cramped into the 194 minutes.
