Some of those are surprising vil. The classics are the classics, you'll get to them eventually. But something like The Sixth Sense is pretty crazy to have missed by now. You only had to exist in the world in 1999, and you would have seen it.

I actually haven't seen that either. Once I had the ending spoiled I didn't see what the point would be. I have seen Lady in the Water somehow though.

almost all the great movies that aren't in English (except for some Tarkovsky and some of the bigger ones from the last 15 years or so).

of the english speaking world:

Gone With the Wind
Vertigo
12 Angry Men
Inception
Once Upon a Time in the West
Lawrence of Arabia
To Kill a Mockingbird

fuck it, i might as well say i haven't really watched much Hollywood before the 70s either, unless it has Newman or Brando in it. and i've missed a lot of the last 3 years. and a lot of genre movies, especially the big classic horror and sci-fi movies.

probably the most "how the fuck have i not seen this movie" for me is Rebel Without a Cause, only because Dean was born not too far away from me and he's basically God around here.

Easily "Fanny and Alexander" considering I've already seen sixteen other Bergmans. Still haven't seen "Apocalypse Now" either. Whenever it's screened somewhere it seems to be the Redux version and I'd like to see the other one first.

you should check out DVDs. i think best buy or wal-mart might carry them. they are sort of like cds but you can put movies on them, its pretty cool.
