If we were going just by sheer volume of objectively great music it would be 1970-72, probably the best all-around three year stretch in music history, plus 1973 which at least had Let's Get It On and Quadrophenia and Pronounced and Raw Power and "Midnight Train to Georgia," plus 1974 which (apologies to Alex Chilton) was an overwhelmingly shitty year just along for the ride
