i think this might be a bit lopsided, but i like the comparison anyways.

i love both. since their debut in '02 its probably been The Black Keys. but those first three White Stripes albums are God-tier for modern rock imo.

both are good bands but 'white blood cells' > everything by the black keys. went with the stripes

Of these lo-fi, blues rock family duos with monochromatic, two-word band names, I narrowly favor the Black Keys.

Definitely White Stripes for me, but I'm not that big a fan about either too much. Stripes get the advantage for at least having a personality

I saw the Black Keys in about a 200 capacity hall in Portsmouth years ago. I recall holding the door to the toilets open for the drummer. He's one of the most extraordinary looking people I'd ever seen. Like a human spider.

Even though the Keys hail from the great state of Ohio, I still prefer the Stripes.
