Because drumming is a beautiful thing.

Way too close between Baker and Peart for me to choose...

Bruford followed very closely by Carey. I also like Giles and Baker very much.

Out of curiosity Gray, are you into Rush?
Peart absolutely blows my mind into another galaxy. His fills are just ridiculous and he seems to have an unlimited arsenal of them.

I'm actually on the "Rush sucks" side.

i know you don't like police, neg, but omitting stu copeland from the list was a mistake... along with stu, i probably like bruford and bonzo the most.

Dave Lombardo, though most of these guys are amazing. For me though, Lombardo makes Slayer.

Bonzo of course. Though he is tied as my favorite drummer along with Tim Alexander of Primus.

Bruford is slowly climbing the ranks as well.

Fuck it, I'm going with Baker. Easily my favorite 'groover', although he's not quite as explosive as Bonham or as technically absurd as Peart.

Toad is still my favorite drum performance in rock. Just something about his beats, his subtle use of double-bass, etc.

What, no comments about how they're all "typical classic rock drummers"?

You're slipping, coil....

classic rock isn't a bad thing, discussing it to death however is another thing altogether
