look at all those active threads in the vocalist forum, either it's ian gillian/robert plant/adam lambert/freddie mercury or it's discussion on who the greatest rock and r'n'b vocalists are. so how are you refuting FS exactly?

You dont spend ANY time in the vocalists forum. You know nothing. You cant just skim through a few posts and suddenly know all about our tastes.
Stop making baseless generalizations and grow up.

Tie between Zeppelin and Iron Maiden. Gave it to Maiden since they're more in need.

Yeah I'm sure.

So music after 1975?
The Whites Stripes, Megadeth, Chris Cornell, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Guns 'N Roses, Ours, Pain Of Salvation, HIM........to name a few.

The Who Sell Out......eh, maybe. Not really a mind-blowing album but there's some good stuff.

The Who Sell Out not among the most critically acclaimed? Sheesh, in Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums it barely missed the top 100 and was ranked higher than every Who album except for Tommy and Who's Next. Plenty of rock critics think it is the best Who album. Its critical acclaim buries Goats Head Soup, that's for damn sure. On Acclaimed Music, The Who Sell Out is #269 All-Time. Goats Head Soup doesn't even make the top three thousand, let alone the top 300.

I always thought Quadrophenia was more acclaimed than The Who Sell Out. Damn you, Rolling Stone.

I'm not even gonna respond to dreamcoil anymore. It simply isn't worth it.

So now we're taking the word of Rolling fucking Stone magazine? Come on....

They may make bullshit lists, but it's still an example of critical acclaim the album has received.

josh, have you considered exploring a bit more outside the generic grunge/hard rock fare as far as modern music is concerned? you'd find a lot of stuff you like, believe me.

isn't this poll entirely representative of a kind of list rolling stone would make?
