I veer towards Kane myself. His verse in this tune is a contender for my favourite of all time - just a perfect display of impeccable flow, range of delivery, killer punch lines and just aesthetically beautiful lines.

Strong as an elephant, intelligent, compelling and elegant
So well in it with every single element

Just the combination of those words sounds so dope.

I also reckon he outdid Kool G on The Symphony but it's close. But both of these guys are certified top tenners.

I think G Rap may be more technical (barely), but Kane is definitely wittier, I personally put him right up there with Eminem in terms of wit.

Georgi, have you heard the 'Raw' freestyle they did together? Kane was on but G Rap took it, imo.

Here it is.

Kane gets some good lines in, but G Rap totally goes off.

i just like Kool G more in just about every way. not saying he's objectively better or any of that bullshit. i just like him more. and Kane actually kind of annoys me sometimes.

Pave,
I prefer BDK myself, but you don't think G Rap was more technical, just by a hair?

MC's are grounded, pounded down,
astounded, they rounded up,
pounds of sounds, but I drowned 'em
Surround to check the tape
and play when rate too great
Related too late, I demonstrate fate.
I'm fast and passin' the stage of an assassin
Massacre, in a mash I start blastin'.
Fury article, periodical,
Blowin' up all the fools and molecules,
here, read the articles.
You can't rip out, rap up, slip up, slap up
'cause you're trapped up to get capped up.

Sometimes just reading the lyrics on the screen really does not do a set of rap lyrics justice (same goes for the one I posted). Just doesn't capture the interaction of the lines with the beat, the rhythm, the delivery, the dynamics.

Very true.

Another one from BDK that always gets me:

So toss the sauce
across to the boss
With force, you lost
Of course, no remorse,
a holocaust.

No overly complex poly-syllabic patterns, just sweet and simple, razor-sharp perfection.
