Whoa, whoa, you forgot Elvis Is Back. That one's an orange too. It's usually hailed as his best album, along with From Elvis In Memphis.

Also I think the NBC album is orange. That was simply the best music of his career.

I did that list without looking at his discography. I see that I missed quite a few.

I didn't include all his EPs (29!) or all the posthumous collections (around 80) or all the Follow That Dream releases (about 95).

Yeah there's no point in counting compilations, imo. Seems redundant.

Have you heard Live From The International Hotel? Blistering stuff.

Of course. It was originally a two record set, then it was reissued as single disks.

From Memphis to Vegas/From Vegas to Memphis (1969)

Elvis In Person at the International Hotel (1970)
Back In Memphis (1970)

Elvis In Person at the International Hotel was my first Elvis album. It's excellent.

James Burton's guitar is on fire too. That solo in Hound Dog is such a killer.
Scotty Moore was more of a pioneer but Burton's licks are so awesome.

Too bad he abandoned that kind of blistering rock & roll soon after.
He obviously made some great music post-1970, but it sucks that he turned to the more 'adult oriented' material.

It's amazing that even as early as his second album (Elvis), he was already showing remarkable versatility. Straight-up rock, blues, rhumba dance stuff, country ballads, country rockers, etc.

Yeah. So I assume that list covers all of the singles released between albums?
