Should there also be tier for Ozzy Osbourne's solo career? Many of his songs are considered 'metal classics', and he has proved to be really popular solo artist. Blizzard of Ozz would probably be his highest-rating solo album with No More Tears and Diary of a Madman coming after that.

Nah, Master of Reality is actually their best album. You can't tell me I'm wrong because that's my opinion.

Anyone, is there any reason why the can't have three oranges? They can be considered part of that higher tier of bands that deserve more than one or two.

Well I'd be OK with 3 (although honestly I think 4 is the better albums mainly because Wheel of Confusion and Snowblind are two massively awesome tracks) but if there are two picked then it has to be the first two. I mean I'd say the first album is literally the most important heavy metal album ever recorded and the top essential album to listen to from the genre. Black Sabbath is also the most important metal song ever recorded.

4 should be seen as one of their greatest, not only because of quality, but because I think a lot of doom metal owes a lot to that album in particular.

More specifically Cornucopia and Under the Sun/Every Day Just Comes and Goes have a lot of influence on the sound but yeah I get that vibe too.

Ozzy's big enough to get a thread of his own.

I happen to think the self-titled, Paranoid and MoR all deserve orange.

So, what are your thoughts on Dio's lyrics. They're starting to grow on me.

If any album of Black Sabbath's deserves orange, it's their debut.

I've made the first album an orange, based on influence and importance. My usual limit for oranges is two per artist, with three allowed occasionally and more than that only for very important artists (Beatles, Dylan, Stones, Miles Davis) get four or more.

Yeah I still really can't square with most of them. I will admit some of them are really fun for singing along with really loud in your car but I don't think any of them are really what I'd call great.
