Just as a side point, but am I the only person who doesn't like the term guilty pleasure?

Idk, always makes it sound a bit fake putting that tagline in front of it, why would you ever feel guilty about liking any music? Is it not just a pleasure?

I agree completely. I don't feel guilty about anything I like - if anything, I make a bigger point out of the stuff I'm not supposed to like.

I just use it as a phrase, it's pretty unattached from its meaning by now. I don't actually feel bad about liking certain songs.

I used to say guilty pleasure all the time, but I've also come to realize the uselessness of the term. Saying it only makes it seem like you're trying to impress other people and that this certain genre or artist is just an exception to your IMMACULATE TASTE IN MUSIC.

I dunno, now that I think about it, I fully support the phrase "guilty pleasure." Well, I suppose I don't agree that the use of the word "guilty" is accurate. But I agree with the sentiment behind the phrase. I think that having no "guilty pleasures" is a subtle sign of taste narcissism, or at the very least creates the possibility of cultivating narcissism in one's taste. It's kind of implying that you are the ultimate beacon of taste, since everything you like is good. I believe that it is a sign of humility to admit that your personal preference is not the sole definition of good taste.

I have the Essential Supremes, which is great, but honestly I think they are underrated as an albums artist. Where Did Our Love Go? is one of my favourite albums.

Have to say though as Supremes' singles go you really can't beat "You Keep Me Hangin' On." That piano line is just one the most infectious things in the history of music. Can just listen to this song over and over and over again.

You can try to hate this, but it is not possible. LMFAO, if LMFAO were good:

Listened to the album last night - one of the best albums top to bottom of the year. It's not all like Sweet Talk, either.
