I object to how you phrase this as if it's your personal opinion when it is an undeniable scientifically proven fact.

I've recently listened to Heart Of The Sunrise for the first time and my brain is still lying on the floor somewhere. I seriously cannot find it.
As a former drummer myself, I wanted to see what all the fuss on Bruford was about.
Well now I see, without any question.
The entire song is just like a religious experience.

If you really want to experience Bruford at his best, go for the albums Starless and Bible Black and Red by King Crimson. But yes, "Heart of the sunrise" is awesomeo as well.

I've heard One More Red Nightmare from Red, need to hear the rest of it. That particular song was epic. Never knew Wetton had such a good voice too.

70's prog is just REALLY blowing me away recently. I've recently ordered a slew of albums from Rush to feed my insatiable obssession with Peart.

But yes, I will unquestionably listen to the material you mentioned. Probably sometime today.

*Did you used to be Unkie Clamz?*

I'm inclined to agree.

All in the eye of the beholder.
One man's "self-indulgent pretentiousness" is another man's creative genius on display.

Punk bands were way more pretentious and self-indulgent as they had absolutely no business making music in the first place, but expected people to pay good money for it.
