I used to be a big RHCP fan when I was like 16. I guess I "grew" out of them but I'll always have an appreciation for them.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik should be the only orange.

They were one of the first bands I liked, then I grew out of them like you say, but then I rediscovered them. Blood Sugar Sex Magic for orange. Californication and By The Way for red. On personal preference I'd but those two on the same level as BSSM.

Studio Albums
The Red Hot Chili Peppers (1984)
Freaky Styley (1985)
The Uplift Mofo Party Plan (1987)
Mother's Milk (1989)
Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991)
One Hot Minute (1995)
Californication (1999)
By the Way (2002)
Stadium Arcadium (2006)

I'm a little uncomfortable with the number of bolds. I think there could be less. Freaky Styley and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan catch them at their funkiest (Freaky Styley in particular), well before they were mainstream, and are definitely the best with Hillel Slovak as guitarist. And Mother's Milk is the album where they were about to break into the mainstream. Stadium Arcadium is an obvious bold in my opinion.

So I kind of see all of those albums from the 80s (minus self-titled) as necessary listens, but it just looks like there's too many bolds. But then again, maybe it's fine.

I'm comfortable with the two reds and the one orange as well.

from a preliminary skimming of some reviews, Stadium should be unbolded, By the Way should be bold and Mother's Milk should be red.

Freakey and Uplift are their only albums with Hilel Slovak. Another guitarist, named Jack Sherman, plays on the self-titled.

I really don't think Mother's Milk should be red over By the Way, but that's just me.

Yeah, BTW owns Mother's Milk, it's definitely on a similar par to Cali.

I thought critics and people both adored Stadium Arcadium
