This is perhaps the most famous show in Phish history. "Heavy Things" from this show was transmitted live to over 100 million people worldwide as apart of the worldwide "2000 Today" broadcast. That's 1. why "Heavy Things" did as well as it did on American radio (which wasn't much) the next year - it was the one Phish song most people knew already and 2. Why the band asked the crowd to chant "cheesecake" instead of cheering at the end of the song, to confuse everyone watching.

That broadcast, btw, was what introduced me to Phish in the first place (I was 10 years old).

The funny thing is, the broadcast of Heavy Things cut off right before the cheecake chant started. 85,000 people were chanting cheesecake for no reason.

If this doesn't get your heart rate up, you might need to see a doctor:

btw, I lost that last auction. Someone bid $20 more in the last hour, taking it out of my price range. Shit. Not trying again, that was the last auction that would let me pay with a personal check/debit card instead of a credit card or PayPal.

Would you ever consider going to the venue the night of and seeing what people are scalping? It works for me every time. I've never paid over face value for 9 Phish shows. It's kind of fun too walking around the lots looking for tickets ad seeing all the freak shows. Keep an eye on stubhub too. Usually, the prices drop as the day of the concert approaches.

edit:

21 different ticket sets available for face value or less, including a few in the 40s. Several are electronic delivery as well (i.e. no shipping and handling cost).

yeah, will check out Stubhub. I dislike ticket scalpers.

Besides, I want the free download of the show that comes with the ticket. That's the thing thats made it financially viable to waste money on a concert ticket.

I mean, i'll be sad if I don't wind up going and then I check Phishnet and they played a bunch of my favorite songs. It happened when Pavement came to Boston.

If it comes to it, I could easily get you the sbd for free anyways, if you're willing. It would pretty much end up being the same thing anyways (seeing as you did, hypothetically, purchase the ticket).

Nah. Besides I might need the money I was gonna spend on the ticket for something else. I'll check Stubhub but if I can't find anything I like/in my pricerange, I won't go, but will try to see if I can get one of the Mass shows near New Years' tickets for Christmas. That might be fun.

Anyway on another topic, i've almost bought the Clifford Ball DVDs twice. Are they worth the price?
