I'd have to agree with you on that one. First three are defs the greatest, imo.

And that one song off of Incunabula is in Pi, which rules so hard.

Shed's new album is pretty solid, tho it means much more within the context of his output thus far since it's very accessible in terms of what I'm used to hearing from him. What's weird is its so unabashedly accessible that it's almost inaccessible if that makes sense. Some true bangers in the first half. I think since it's almost entirely comprised of straightforward 4/4 rhythms, the concentration is more on sound design than anything else.

So another good electronic album, but still doesn't touch Actress' R.I.P. this year, which I tend to repeatedly compare to Shed. Tho Shed is a lot more formal in his design, while Actress is almost entirely free form the way he creates.

When the bassline kicks in the transition between Since I Left You > Stay Another Season. One of those really small things in music that gives me chills/life affirming/cum everywhere/etc.

Just want to say that Gravy Train!!!! is basically how I wish all music sounded and definitely the band I most wish I was in. I didn't realise this is what Hunx did before he formed the Punx.

Just so fucking brilliant. :parrot: :zoid:

Talking of awesome French house.

My RYM review:

So repetitive it becomes hypnotic and no matter how much you try and resist it, it ends up battering and battering your resistance until in the end you submit and you just can't help feeling so good and happy and smiling from ear to ear while listening to it.

One of the best singles ever and it's pretty much the same 2 bars over and over and over again for nearly 11 minutes. Idk, I'd say trying to work out why it's so good makes your brain ache, but then I just give up and start dancing to that beat instead.

5 stars

Pretty much my exact thoughts on it Avery. Proof that repetition can be a force for pure good.

I listened to a lot of my old French House favourites after hearing Daft Punk's essential mix from 1997. Dig this!

Yep, Mark E Smith taught us that well enough.

And Georgi, there is a Daft Punk French house mix? Would be brilliant if you could give us a link, would love to hear that. Also loved the song you posted, cheers. :thumb:

This is fuckin' quality. Not all French House, but largely got that disco/house feel to it.

 I agree if it's within the electronic music umbrella. Outside of that... There are dire examples. Like any Bee Gees song.
