aeroplane's my favorite album ever. it had been tied with abbey road and OKC for a long time but aeroplane took over a little while ago, I just never get sick of it. it's the answer to the question "If you were stuck on a desert island, what album would you bring?" because I literally never get sick of it. could listen to it everyday. it's perfect.

I agree, except it's never had any competition for me. No matter how many times I hear it, I always find something new to marvel at.

Also—you've seen this—holy fucking Jesus raped by Marduk Christ. I'd like to think I wouldn't pay that price for the Little Birds studio track alone.

I haven't listened to it since Christmas 2009, I'm too scared that it won't have the same magic. I still think it's probably my favourite album ever though. It's becoming a really cliche choice, but I can't deny it, it is just that good.

Is that not normal? Do you have albums you can listen to over and over again and never have the experience deteriorate? I sure as hell don't.

If that happens, then I take a break from listening to them. I certainly don't deny myself the pleasure of listening to them before that happens. I certainly wouldn't force myself to not listen to my favourite album for two years - it wouldn't be my favourite album if it were the case that the fear of the experience deterioating outweighed my desire to listen to it.

Astral Weeks is pretty solidly my favorite album and I never tire of hearing it. Sure, sometimes I'll skip Beside You or Ballerina, but I'm literally never not in the mood for things like Madame George or Astral Weeks.

I haven't listened to Aeroplane as a full album for a long time too, but that's because I've been on a prolonged jazz/soul/classical kick over the past year and a half or so. I'm fairly certain it would still be as glorious, especially since I listen to the title track while working out a lot. I left it in my top 20 albums, in any case.
