The greatest thing about Freddie Mercury is his ability to go from Operatic to Rawk in a split second.

The new version of the Barcelona album is pretty neat. They went back and redid all of the instrumentation using a real orchestra to replace the synths, in addition to including some demo and alternate versions of some of the songs.

If only they would edit out Caballe's annoying vocals, it would be perfect.

The old one was disorganized and needed some TLC--so I asked Lew to delete it.

We're gonna start fresh!

Mercury is the Picasso of rock vocalists.
Will anyone ever surpass the man's level of brilliance?

He's also the Davinci, Van Gogh, and Monet of rock vocals

Yeah, just like many other vocalists out there.

Not to discredit Freddie and his incredible voice, but he wasn't the only guy to sing both rock and "operatic" vocals. Somebody like Paul McCartney was already doing that before him.

Yeah, but he did it without sounding cheesy, which is a true feat. When was Paul McCartney operatic?
