I could go either way with these, actually.

Lithium > FFWHHROS

Okay NOW I'm starting to think this might be a troll. Because there's no other conceivable way to explain it. There is nothing that stands out, vocally, on Lithium. At least, nothing aside from "he sounds awesome here". The screams were short ones and not too difficult at all.

Also, you are overrating "Pennyroyal Tea". "School" is easily better than it.

No overrating here. He never again sustained notes that were this musical. Sure he could sustain raw screams, but that's only one slice of the pie. He sustains those soulful notes really really well. Especially on the studio version. Plus the dreary atmosphere of his softer low singing, I think it all culminates in one of the definitive moments of Kurt as a vocalist.
But PT has much more variety, is better SUNG (whereas School was mostly sloppy shouting, though I still love it).
PT is one of Cobain's most passionate vocals.
Lithium is a cool little punk radio sing-along but nothing at all special about the vocals.

"Lithium" has that wonderful chorus, I just personally think it is impressive. I'm not sure if it belongs in the list, but Lithium > FFWHHROS so easily.

I asked Sir, and he agreed with me that "School" is one of Cobain's best vocal moments.

Well sure, it's one OF his best. I would agree.
But you want to have it at #1, which makes no sense to me. :eh:

Never heard FFWHHROS, but just based on this I am going to completely disagree with that assessment.

"Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle" is basically the same kind of a performance, just screamier.

Tell me this isn't better than Lithium.

Cobain not being a good singer, so blasphemous.

He's better than people give him credit for, IMO.

Anyway, if you can settle one more battle for me and Timi....

Huh? This is like France Farmer quality... Sliver and You Know You're Right both spring to mind as much better performances.

:eh: :eh: :eh:
Frances Farmer has so much more to it than Lithium or Sliver. Those two are just basic poppy singing, nothing really stand-out.

Anyway, here's a few more that could make the list...

-with that great F# in the middle-

-awesome gruff chestiness with lots of power-

-just intense as hell-
