That's a stylistic thing though. The Walls Fell Down and Only One Woman are proof that when he wants to do, he can belt very cleanly in upper chest.

Of course, that's why I said I didn't like his delivery there... I know he can do much better...

That moment at 3:12 really impressed me, like Curio said..it's live, right? Amazing note...

Also, Whisper In The Night is such a great damn vocal performance, I fell in love with it right away...

A version of Only One Woman recorded with Alcatrazz. I prefer the original but this version kicks ass as well.

Great stuff. He definitely strains too much in live shows though. The guy looks like he's in severe pain half the time. Still, that version of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow was great. He can be very soulful.

I agree with both of those statements, he strains too much live...and really, his solo songs and those ballads suit him more than heavy metal stuff, though he does have some of the best screams ever.

I dunno. I think Graham adapts his tone perfectly to the heavy material. He does lose alot of the warmth and soulfulness in his voice when he sings the metal stuff but that's pretty much unavoidable.

I don't like it when he gets screamy. That Rainbow vid of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" is a perfect example. I simply don't think it sounds good. When he does the "so sweetly" line, it's beautiful, I wish he'd sing soft like that more.

He has alot of nice clean singing on his solo albums... Like that Whisper in the Night link I posted. When it comes down to it though, Graham really is an blues/soul singer and he sounds best on that kind of material.
