Yeah, it is lower, but only a semitone, so it's still impressive he pulls it of live...
Of course it can't compete with Bonnet's version... Now, listen to the live performance I posted! 8-)

Pretty awesome performance that. 8-) Here's an acoustic version from recently. He can still sing the shit out of that song.

Gotta say, this guy probably has the best head voice tone I've ever heard. Like on Only One Woman for example... his high notes have awesome resonance and clarity. They just sound jaw dropping.

Haha, that was awesome!

He got very old...

But he still has insanely projected voice. I'll agree that his head voice tone is awesome! The thing I dislike about him is when he belts in upper chest it sounds like he's shouting rather than singing...

Not always, listen to this first chest belt!

Oh, that was pretty awesome! I did say sometimes you know! :D

I did notice it on that acoustic performance on the front page...

Well, he tends to strain alot when he sings in upper chest for some reason so that's probably adding to the impression of shoutiness.

Agreed.

Probably the most famous song with him on vocals.

And, the best live Hiroshima:

Soto's version is good but it can't compete with the rough manliness of Bonnet's. No homo. He's also singing it in a lower key.

It's better than any of Bonnet's live versions, and it's plenty rough to boot.

Of course it's better than Bonnet's live versions. In Bonnet's best live performance of the song he doesn't even go for a single high note. :durr:

He only hits the first F#5. Lowers the rest. Still a very good performance though.

I can't believe how awesome this sonofabitch is:

Screams were awesome, I agree, but I didn't like his overall delivery there, esp that live song is a proof of him shouting in upper chest rather than singing...

That's a stylistic thing though. The Walls Fell Down and Only One Woman are proof that when he wants to do, he can belt very cleanly in upper chest.
