Crazy . . .

Well, the Art4Life one (on the live list is technically good, especially the end!), but I prefer this version as an overall performance.

Enjoy!

What does everyone else think . . . which do you like better?

Hmm... overall this one is more consistent. Probably because he doesn't need to gyrate on stage and can focus more on the singing. But the Art4life has that run.

For me the best version is the one with the lows at the end...

I still prefer A4L.

It had a cooler arrangement.

And for those who want to finally hear a new song:

Lambert performed "Enter Sandman" in NZ. I've only seen partial vids so far, so not bringing a YouTube over yet. BTW - Did Jester or Deities get tickets for the Auckland show? Would love to hear their take.

ETA: Screw it. Here's the partial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owzAXOFbAR4

Yeah - hopefully recorded by someone with better equipment. Honestly, from this crappy grab it sounds too smooth to me, with little of Hetfield's edge. But then, I hate most of these YouTubes in general.

My one pitch, and then I'm done on this topic: If you possibly can, see Lambert live. Particularly while he's playing in these relatively small spaces with good acoustics. Difference between night and day.

I'll also say that getting tickets are a bitch. However, I saw three shows on the US East Coast this year, despite not being able to purchase regular tickets for any of them. Bought them off other people. That said, and I say this with a grin knowing how much people here despise fanboying/fangirling, the people on fansites DO get tickets, and they will sell them to other fans - at face value. I've never bought overinflated tickets from StubHub in my life, and not about to start now. If you're willing to risk showing up empty-handed, I found concertgoers selling their spare tickets to whoever asked first, again at face value, even for sold-out shows.

Not looking forward to when Lambert starts playing bigger spaces (and after this tour I'm sure he will). I'm not a fan of arena shows in general and the bad sound mixing I always seem to run into there just pisses me off to the extent I can't enjoy the show.

OK.

I have a SHIT-LOAD of Lambert performances from Egor that are sitting in my PM box. I can't get the stupid thing to copy/paste right, so I can post them here!

Nah - I'm pretty sure I was registered as Hoppers over there too. There was a screw-up with my registration when I signed up, never got ratified or whatever properly. But as I wasn't intending to post, never bothered to fix my status. 'Sides which my background is mostly classical, I don't get obsessed about dead singers, this site doesn't have that much love for my man Hetfield, and - as much as I respect Cornell - nothing he's done in Soundgarden or anywhere's else has made my head explode (sorry Beast).

Got CAS to sign up instead.

Holy goddamn batman he was great live and hilarious. And his Enter Sandman was most excellento, as was Sure Fire Weiners and Sleepwalker especially. His FYE was actually pretty flawless too.

Cool! You went!

[snicker] Sounds like it was an epic show. Like the song rename.

How was the Sandman live? :metal: The YouTubes of the show so far have been of pretty crappy quality.

Oh damn really? My phone was all meh so I didn't record it, there was plenty of folk filming though. He was verrry energetic and sweaty, really went all out. And he clearly needs to go rock, it's so obvious. But yeah, it was Tommy's birthday and 'Enter Sandman' is his favourite song, so they played it. And he got a loooong kiss at some point, with Adam mock-analing him also...lol.
